I bought this for my boyfriend whom is a wielder. At work he has needed one a long time but doesn't do anything about it so I wanted him to have a toolbox. This is mostly a starting point I've purchased him- and it is just what I need it to be for that. This product arrived faster than others I bought through Amazon during the same time.. excellent because I expected to assemble some of it before giving it to him. I had less assembly to do on it than expected, so that's always nice!A few small dents on the back area... nothing easily noticed or that would get in the way of using it... so nothing I plan to return over. I got free shipping on the item too so the purchase left no question in my mind that this is perfect for my guy =) .. for a couple years then he can upgrade it later. It is NOT one of those super small ones to make up for the price decrease, either, as I had gotten worried about while awaiting delivery. The only "flimsy" -like part is that you need to open and close the drawers from straight on, not a an angle or they don't budge well. I recommend it.

OK. To start, I paid $130 for this chest with FREE shipping. A VERY good deal, if you look around. I got it in Black, but the red version is exactly the same, it may look like it has 3 drawers across the front in the photos, but those are the locking rods. Each level on the top chest is ONE single drawer. This item did not ship to me via UPS or USPS or FedEx, It was sent via CEVA, a large freight carrier. I did not know this until after it shipped. There were some issues, in that Amazon did not give them a contact number for me so they could arrange to schedule a delivery (as is there standard way of doing things) so my tracking showed a weird line about how they HAD contacted me and scheduled a delivery for me at day and time I was NOT available. It took about a half hour of phone calls to sort it all out, but in the end it was ok. The tool chest itself had some minor cosmetic damage when it arrived. Various dings/dents in the paint, and one large dent in the top front corner of the larger bottom chest. BUT none of this effected the functionality of the item, and as of the time I am writing this, Amazon is out of stock on this item, so I am not going to try to return it. Another thing of note: THERE IS ASSEMBLY REQUIRED for this item. Quite a bit of it actually. The instructions where in the 2nd drawer of the bottom cabinet along with the wheels. Your going to need a crescent wrench OR a socket set, along with a medium Philips head screwdriver. Perhaps a small hammer too, if your cabinet has dents like mine did. Its a very good value from a long standing name brand, who I believe has been squeezed out by Lows "Kobalt" and Home Depots brands. Even with the shipping BS, and lack of info by Amazon and the dings and dents, you cant beat it.

When we took it from the box, it was dented on the top of the bottom section, and the top edge of the bottom section was bent at the corner. The Top section was bolted inside the bottom section, so you have to take the thing apart to get the top section out. It's not a heavy metal, but will hopefully work for my daughter & her husbands needs. I guess it's a good value for the price.

I have owned this tool box for about five years and I work on cars daily at my house. I have found this box to be a well worth the buy. Yes, the metal is not as thick as some others but for the cost its a great deal. I bought mine at a local tool store for about 95.00 and I have bought several other *Stack On* tool boxes and found that they are all good for DIY and some light professional work..

This unit is probably as good as one can expect for the price. However, it arriived with a bent lower corner, as if it had been dropped directly onto that corner. Functionally, it is fine, and it would be a lot of trouble to get it replaced, so I did not even try.
